VP marketing - Job Description
As the Vice President of Marketing, you will be responsible for driving and executing the company's growth marketing strategy. You will lead a team of marketing professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve aggressive growth targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of driving customer acquisition, increasing revenue, and scaling marketing operations in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. The candidate will ideally have experience of growing start-ups from $1m to over $30m in ARR.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the company's growth marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and market share expansion.

  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities by conducting market research, analyzing customer insights, and monitoring industry trends.

  • Define and build the technology landscape for optimising and analyzing lead flow throughout the funnel.

  • Define key performance metrics and develop dashboards to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and data analytics, to align marketing strategies with business objectives.

  • Optimize and scale digital marketing channels, including paid advertising, SEO, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.

  • Drive the development of high-impact, data-driven marketing campaigns across various channels, ensuring brand consistency and maximum audience reach.

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, leveraging insights to refine marketing strategies and improve conversion rates.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging marketing technologies, and competitive landscape to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI.

  • Foster strategic partnerships and collaborate with external agencies to leverage their expertise and enhance marketing efforts.

  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term growth strategies, provide insights and recommendations, and contribute to overall business planning.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in growth marketing, with a track record of successfully driving customer acquisition, revenue growth, and market share expansion.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing marketing team.

  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing channels, including paid advertising, SEO, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.

  • Experience in data-driven decision making, utilizing analytics tools and dashboards to drive marketing strategies and measure performance.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex data sets.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.

  • Proven ability to manage marketing budgets effectively and optimize resources for maximum ROI.

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is highly desirable.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging marketing technologies
